HICKORY WAY
Hickory Way is a new 70-unit housing complex built and managed by Avalon Housing. House N2 Home collaborated with Avalon and community groups to furnish all 70 units!
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
Hickory Way units have been allocated to adults moving from a shelter, or the street, into stable housing. For many, it is the first time in a long time, that they will have a bed to sleep in and a roof over their heads. Avalon Housing case managers work with their clients during residency.
House N2 Home couldn't do a project like this alone! We asked for families, groups, or organizations to "SPONSOR A UNIT". This included making a plan with their teams (to include color schemes and themes), collecting or purchasing new or used items, storing the items, and then engaging in MOVE-IN DAY by physically moving the items into the units and placing them as they envisioned.
**House N2 Home provided new bed frames, mattresses and dressers, as well as used couches, small kitchen tables and chairs. Generous financial donors enabled us to fully furnished 9 units.
