Every day – and often twice a day – we help change a life.
Through partnerships with 55 community agencies, House N2 Home (HN2H) furnishes homes for individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness in Washtenaw County. In 2024, we furnished 424 homes, impacting 879 lives. And 2025 is already on pace to surpass that: so far, we have furnished 391 homes for 841 people, including 404 children and 35 veterans.
We believe that after the trauma of homelessness, a functional, comfortable, welcoming space offers stability – and a chance to thrive. With donated (and occasionally purchased) furniture and household goods, our team transforms empty apartments and houses into warm, livable homes.

Since 2019 HN2H has:
· Furnished 1,851 homes, from sponges to beds (and everything in between)
· Served 3,871 people, including 1,788 children and 195 veterans
· Received more than 87,000 hours from dedicated, generous volunteers
· Diverted almost 800 tons of waste from the landfill just this year!
Our 501(c)(3) organization takes financial stewardship seriously. While we have over 200 volunteers support our work, we employ a small number of incredible folks to load and unload the trucks for our client moves and donation pick ups, a volunteer manager, and an operations manager. It is also essential that we keep our vans maintained and reliable so that we can serve our families every day. Funds also support the purchase of essential items needed to fully furnish our clients’ homes.
