SUPPORT A MOVE

Want to give back to your community?
Be a integral part of changing someone's life, from hands-on support to financial support, see how you or your group can support a move!

Because House N2 Home uses generous donations of furniture and household items from the community, the financial obligation for a move is typically low. 

 

However, there are some expenses. We estimate that $500 covers all the costs associated with a "typical" client move. This includes a pro-rated expense for van (gas, maintenance and insurance), hourly rate for "heavy lifters", painting (if necessary), cleaning supplies, household basic items, mattress encasements, shower liner, and any other specific items we need to purchase for the client.

PRODUCT DRIVES

​Product drives are a very valuable way to support House N2 Home. These are items that we would need to purchase because they need to be new, or when we run out, we need them. Individuals, groups, teams, neighbors, clubs, businesses, or anyone else can host a drive.

CLEANING KITS​

​We have specific lists, but examples are:

Cleaning items (in a 10-12 quart mop pail):​

  • All purpose cleaner

  • Cleaning rag (repurposed cotton towels or tee shirts)

  • Abrasive cleaner (Comet / Bon Ami)

  • Dish cloths and sponges

  • Liquid dish soap

  • Toilet bowl brush & container

 

HOUSEHOLD KITS​

Household items (in square laundry basket)

  • Paper towels 

  • Toilet paper 

  • Kleenex - 2

  • Laundry pods (5-7 pods or 8-10oz bottle of liquid detergent)

  • Kitchen trash bags (13 gallon)

  • Bathroom trash bags (small)

  • 2 Liquid hand soap in dispensers (bathroom and kitchen) 

  • 10 Hangers

OTHER ITEMS WE NEED (ITEMS DO NOT NEED TO BE NEW!)

  • Blenders

  • Flat TV's

  • Microwaves

  • Bagless Vacuums

  • Small coffee makers

  • Dish drying racks

  • Universal remotes

  • Can openers

  • Peelers

  • Pillow protectors (regular size)

WANT TO DO A THEMED DRIVE? (ITEMS DO NOT NEED TO BE  NEW!)

  • Another useful drive is to ask for specific items, for example:

    • Small kitchen appliance drive: toasters, blenders, mixers, microwaves, crockpots, panini makers.

    • Bathroom drive: new towels, bath mats, over door hangers, shower curtains, shower liners, shower curtain rings, soap dispenser, small garbage cans.

    • Bedroom drive: comforter, sheet sets, pillow protectors, mattress encasements, small rugs, small bedside tables.

  • You get the picture!

DROP-OFF DONATION DRIVES
