DONATE FURNITURE & HOUSEHOLD ITEMS

We are always in need of furniture and household items.

We only accept items in good, usable condition, because our clients deserve it.  

DONATE FURNITURE & HOUSEHOLD GOODS

1.Please review the list below to learn what we do accept (green section), and do not accept (red section).

 

2. Please make sure your items are clean, gently used, quality items with no stains, rips, or scratches.

 

3. We only do PICKUPS within WASHTENAW COUNTY and fewer than 30 minutes from our facility.

 

4. Items for the pickup must be moved to a garage, porch, or outside before your scheduled pick up time. We do not go into homes.

 

5. Pickups are to benefit people exiting homelessness; we are not professional movers.

 

6. Pickups are scheduled on Monday mornings and Wednesday afternoons. Because client move-ins are our primary focus, we work around that schedule. If you need a quick pickup, we will do our best, but it is often not possible. If you want to hire a service to deliver your donation to us, that works too!

 

7. We schedule DROP-OFFs BY APPOINTMENT ONLY:

MONDAYS: 11am - 2pm

TUESDAYS: 11am - 2pm

WEDNESDAYS: 11am - 2pm

THURSDAYS: 11am - 2pm

FRIDAYS: 11am - 1pm

(Other appointment times can be arranged.)

We kindly ask that you carefully review our lists of accepted and not accepted items below and sort through your items before delivering them to avoid dropping off unwanted goods that will need to be re-donated.  Please note we are not accepting floral or plaid sofas as of 2/1/25.

  • Hangers (wood or plastic - for clothing. (No wire or store hangers)
